We met in July 1998 in Verbier, Switzerland. Could we have picked a more romantic location if we'd planned it?! A fairly normal sequence of events followed; 6 months dating and then (and this part perhaps isn't quite run of the mill) Thorsten went back to Sweden for a year to reassure himself that Switzerland really was the place for him! We spent the year to-ing and fro-ing between Switzerland and Sweden until he finally moved back in January 2000. We got engaged in Zermatt in January 2001 and married in Begnins, Switerland, on May 4, 2002; the most romantic and emotional day of our lives so far, the memories of which we will cherish always. We bought our first house in August 2002 so, as we say, natural progression! Yes, we now have slippers although no pipes! We try to still get out and about but at the end of the day, there's no place like home!

We are the very proud parents of two beautiful little boys, Thomas, born March 2004, and new baby Marcus, born September 1st 2006. They are the joy of our lives. Thomas at the tender age of 2.5 is speaking English, French and Swedish and can switch between the three without giving it another thought. If only it were so easy for us big people to learn! Both boys are real poppets and it is a pleasure to watch the world through the eyes of our own children!
